Introduction

Ed

I’m developing a portfolio career in audio, with a focus on post-production for film, TV, and games.

My skills include Foley recording, sound design, mixing, mastering, and audio repair, with hands-on experience in Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, and iZotope RX.

I’ve worked with both analogue and digital sound desks and in large-format studio environments as well as live sound.

I enjoy shaping sound to support storytelling, whether that’s film dialogue, realistic Foley recordings, or creating immersive sound design.

I’m keen to collaborate with directors, producers, and other creatives to bring projects to life.

You can explore my portfolio to hear examples of my sound design, Foley, and post-production work.

Before pivoting into audio, I built a 25-year career in digital consultancy, where I specialised in managing multidisciplinary projects that combined creativity and technology.

As Director of Digital Potion, I’ve delivered complex digital projects for over 16 years, working with clients ranging from FTSE250 companies to entrepreneurial start-ups.

I previously worked as Technical Director at World Archipelago Internet, a top-100 interactive agency, creating award-winning digital solutions for broadcasters and publishers including Sky, BBC, Channel 4, Discovery, The Telegraph, and Condé Nast.

This background has given me:

  • Strong project management and leadership skills, including managing international teams.

  • Technical adaptability, from coding to networked systems, internet security, and cloud infrastructure.

  • A track record of collaborating with creatives across design, animation, and publishing.

These strengths now support my audio work: I’m comfortable with delivering on tight deadlines, and thrive in creative, collaborative environments.

Background / Read later

I began my career in London during the dot.com boom, working in digital marketing, websites, and project management when Google was new and “user generated content” was still just a concept.

After several technical project management roles, I became Technical Director at World Archipelago Internet (2003–2008). My responsibilities included leading web development teams, managing hosting infrastructure, and delivering projects for major broadcasters including Sky Television, The Discovery Channel, The History Channel, and The Biography Channel.

In 2008 I launched my own consultancy, Digital Potion, where I continue to work with a wide range of clients — from large corporates to entrepreneurial start-ups. Alongside web and digital projects, I collaborated with creatives in graphic design, branding, animation, film, podcasts, and webinars.

After the Covid-19 pandemic, I sought to bring more creativity into my work and focus on my long-standing passion for music and sound. This led me to study Music Technology at Kingston University’s Visconti Studio, where I graduated with First Class Honours in 2025.
